Description
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether they're welcoming families, supporting our staff, or helping older adults stay healthy and independent through community programs, Granite VNA volunteers make a meaningful difference every day.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back but prefer a role with little or no direct patient contact, our Basic Volunteer Training is a great place to start. This two-hour training prepares volunteers for opportunities such as serving as a Hospice House greeter, assisting in the Hospice House kitchen, providing general office support, and helping with community outreach programs like A Matter of Balance.
Participants need attend only one of the following training sessions, all held at Granite VNA Headquarters, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH:
Selected volunteers will be required to complete a background screening and tuberculosis (TB) test before beginning volunteer service. An annual influenza vaccination is also required unless an approved exception applies.

Please note: This Basic Volunteer Training does not prepare volunteers for roles involving direct patient contact, including hospice patient companionship or visitation. Individuals interested in serving directly with hospice patients should complete Granite VNA’s comprehensive 16-hour Hospice Volunteer Training. Dates for the 2027 training sessions will be announced.
We’d love to welcome you to our volunteer team!
