New Hampshire Together is inviting applications for participation in our New Hampshire Together Citizen Assembly which will take place in Manchester the weekend of June 21-23. If you are interested, please complete this form and submit it as soon as possible. We seek to include all who are interested; we also want to make sure this group of 100 will be truly representative of our state. The form should take only a few minutes to complete. If you have any questions about it, please contact me directly at martha@thepeople.org or at 603 344 2933.
The focus points of the assembly will be to understand and consider ways to address:
•Voter confidence in elections
•Extreme polarization
•Representation and responsiveness of government to citizens
Policy recommendations coming out of the Assembly will be translated into legislation over the summer, in time to be introduced in the 2025 state legislative session – and if there are steps that could be taken outright (i.e. not require changing the law), we’ll discuss how to initiate those as well. I hope you can join us for this historic opportunity! Lodging is available for those who are coming from a distance. Food, baseball, and great civic conversation will be included for all.
