Join the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center for a week-long tribute honoring Christa McAuliffe, the Challenger crew, and the lasting legacy of the Teacher in Space Project on the 40th anniversary of the Challenger disaster. Events include planetarium shows, a special January 28 program featuring astronaut Ricky Arnold, the unveiling of a new Christa McAuliffe exhibit, a live panel discussion, and a one-night immersive performance CHALLENGER: Soaring with Christa McAuliffe™ presented by History at Play on January 31.

Meaningful for all ages—and especially for those who remember watching Challenger in 1986—this commemorative series invites the community to reflect, remember, and be inspired.
