Nonprofits
Founded in 1990, as a project of the Capital Area Jaycees, the Miss Capital Area Scholarship Program was incorporated in 1995, and is a New Hampshire 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Over time, the program has expanded to include the titles of Miss Capital Area's Teen, Miss Liberty, and Miss Liberty's Teen.
We help to empower young women by awarding scholarship money to those competing for the titles of Miss Capital Area and Miss Capital Area's Teen, and Miss Liberty and Miss Liberty's Teen. Participants in this program demonstrate a level of excellence in the areas of scholastic achievement, performing arts, healthy living, leadership, and community involvement. We believe that the implementation of our mission not only serves to further the education of our participants, but also the New Hampshire communities in which these women choose to volunteer, work and live.
