Annual Prison Outreach Program Exhibition

The NH Furniture Masters Prison Outreach Program was founded in 1999 and educates select residents on the art of fine furniture making. We instruct three programs which take place at the NH State Prison for Men, the Maine State Prison and the NH Correctional Facility for Women. Each program is distinctive, but they all bring Furniture Masters behind prison walls to teach valuable woodworking skills. Participants are spending their time productively, not only learning a valuable skill that can be executed upon their release but also building self-confidence and a sense of self-worth. Our Prison Outreach Program exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to explore the impact this program has on the lives and livelihoods of those incarcerated. Many pieces in the show are available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the maker and our organization. Opening Reception: Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, June 27 from 5-7pm.
