The stars have aligned for a spooky celebration like no other! The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, with generous support from presenting sponsor Northeast Delta Dental, invites families to experience the 2nd Annual Family Fright Fest—a day packed with hands-on Halloween science fun, live demonstrations, and out-of-this-world thrills! Join us on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 10:30am to 4:00pm for an all-ages, costume-friendly event where science meets the supernatural. Festivities include: Creepy-cool hands-on science activities A special Halloween-themed planetarium show A trick-or-treat scavenger hunt through the exhibits Costumes are highly encouraged—and rewarded! Guests dressed in costume will receive a buy-one, get-one-free general admission ticket (available only at the front desk). “We’re thrilled to partner with Northeast Delta Dental again this year to bring fun, educational programming to the community,” said Melissa Edwards, Executive Director. “Family Fright Fest is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with some science and a little scare!” All activities are included with general admission, so bring the whole family and prepare to launch into a Halloween celebration that’s truly out of this world.
