Who Are We?

Granite Edvance (formerly the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation, or the NHHEAF Network) has been helping New Hampshire families plan and pay for higher education for over 60 years. We help New Hampshire students plan for their future - whether they are looking to continue their education, pursue the trades or enter the workforce - by providing guidance, scholarships, and private student loans. This year, we will award $500,000 in scholarships to NH college students!

Who Are We Looking For?

This position will be responsible for increasing awareness and expanding the mission impact of Granite Edvance across New Hampshire through networking, outreach, and partnering with NH businesses and community-based organizations.

On a given day, your work in this role could include:

  • Researching, identifying, and approaching prospects that might benefit from Granite Edvance services and loan products.
  • Preparing and delivering (singly or with colleagues) impactful presentations and other outreach to educate about the mission, services, and products of Granite Edvance, including but not limited to financial aid and/or college access guidance presentations.
  • Cultivating and sustaining meaningful, long-term engagement through ongoing interactions, event attendance, exhibits, special projects, and regular follow-ups.
  • Increasing access to and participation in Granite Edvance services and products, giving attention to serving under-represented people and geographies.
  • Leveraging a needs-based approach to relationship and sales activities
  • Deepening Granite Edvance's knowledge of needs and challenges in the community that might be addressed by its mission.

The focus of this role is regularly connecting with people and proactively establishing relationships with new groups. This role has variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. The environment is fast paced and results oriented.

We'd Love to Talk to You If You Have Many of the Following:

  • 5+ years' experience in business development, social work, college/career counseling, community outreach, community education, relationship-based sales, or similar role(s).
  • Awareness of topics and trends within the college financing and college and career counseling and planning fields.
  • Excellent communication, prospecting, relationship-building, and partnering skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and cultivate effective relationships with businesses, community-based organizations, and schools.
  • Ability to identify, approach, and form constructive mission-oriented relationships in the community, including under-served populations in NH.
  • Demonstrated commitment to DEI principles and practices.
  • Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style.
  • A self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals and groups.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include working outside of normal business hours, including nights or weekends.
  • Ability to travel as required by business needs; up to 50%. Regular travel within New Hampshire, as well as some travel to regional markets outside of the state will be required, including occasional overnight travel.
