This initiative aims to make EV charging more accessible and efficient by deploying Revvit's Level 1 charger, purpose-built for long-dwell parking environments such as workplaces, airports, hotels, and more.
This groundbreaking technology, commonly used in residential settings, will be adapted for commercial use to reduce installation costs by up to 80%, potentially saving tens of thousands of dollars per site. By embracing Level 1 charging, this initiative makes it feasible to expand EV infrastructure without the high costs associated with traditional charging solutions. The pilot EV station, installed in August, is located in Foxfire’s parking lot on Storrs Street in downtown Concord.

The pilot is expected to showcase the practicality of slow charging by providing approximately 40 miles of range per workday, which comfortably covers the average American commute. This approach avoids the high costs and complex utility connections often required by fast charging stations.
Revvit’s chargers are designed with simplicity in mind. They require no apps or QR codes—drivers can begin charging within seconds by entering a manual code, similar to a garage door opener. This user-friendly design is expected to significantly enhance the overall charging experience.
